It's been forever...

Well, maybe not forever, but it's been a really long time. I think I'm using my old blogging time for new Facebook time. Lots has happened since my last post. The saddest thing is that in early February, Mark's Grandpa died. I loved that man. He was truly an incredible human being. Yesterday would have been his 98th birthday. Everyone thought for sure that he'd easily live to be 100. He would have...except he fell and broke his neck. He was actually recovering well from that and then he had a heart attack. Again, Grandpa rallied back. The day they were to move him from ICU to a regular room, he simply died. Although I miss him, I'm glad for him. Grandpa wouldn't have wanted to spend even 1 day in a nursing home and he would have had to have gone to one for rehab from his broken neck. So now Grandpa Walters is with Grandma Walters once again. I'm so glad that Hope had a chance to know her Great Grandpa. I'll post some pictures of the two of them soon.

Hope is growing like a weed! Literally! Every time I put a pair of pants on her it seems they're too short. I bought a couple pairs of size 4T slims for her around Christmas time and I thought for sure they'd be too long for her. I'm so glad I put them on her because they fit! I would guess they'll become too short for her some time this fall. She's doing well in preschool and at day care and is learning how to play with other children. Not an easy task for an only child who has only been around adults most of her life. She had her first dance recital a couple of weeks ago. SO CUTE!! There's a great video of her on YouTube. Here's the link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N-gznJ5GRk Hopefully that gets you there. The little girl next to Hope is Maiya. She's in Hope's preschool class and her Mom is also Hope's day care provider. The absolute best day care provider in the world!!! Hope has grown so much through Sheri's guidance. We are truly blessed.

That's it for now. Enjoy the video.
